Manually Configure Kibana Dashboards

In the event that the Kibana dashboards are not loaded automatically upon starting the STINGAR server, please follow these steps to load the Kibana dashboards manually.

This method can also be used to load in custom Kibana dashboards.

Loading Kibana Dashboards

1. Download Kibana dashboard configuration file

Download the Kibana dashboard configuration file here.

2. Import Kibana dashboard configurations

On the left hand column, scroll down until you see "Management" and click "Stack Management."

In the left hand column, scroll down until you see "Kibana" and select "Saved Objects."

In the "Saved Objects" page, click the "Import" button.

Drag the downloaded Kibana Dashboard JSON file into the "Select a file to import" box, and under "Import options," ensure that "Automatically overwrite conflicts" is selected.

Click "Import"

If the file is imported properly, you should see the following output.

3. Verify dashboard was loaded properly

Under the Saved Objects page, you should now see all Kibana objects.

Browse to the STINGAR main page and verify that the dashboard is loading as expected.
